JENNIFER MITCHELL, CAE
has built a resume of navigating legislative challenges and guiding nonprofit associations to success. Currently the associate executive director for ATPE, Mitchell previously oversaw communications and public affairs for the Louisiana Dental Association and has an extensive background in legal research and writing, media relations, and campaigns.

 

Monty Exter

MONTY EXTER, J.D.
is one of the state’s preeminent lobbyists on public school finance, testing and accountability, and public pensions and retirement. A former legislative staffer, Exter has extensive experience in organizational leadership, political action committee fundraising strategies, and elections. He currently serves as ATPE’s governmental relations director.

TRICIA CAVE
is a lobbyist and former educator with experience teaching government and U.S. history. Additionally, she has worked on local city and school board campaigns and volunteered with a grassroots teacher advocacy group.
